Welcome to the new Jubilee Scotland campaign update which is being launched along with our new website. We hope you like it!

In this month's update we've got one action for you to take, an event not to be missed and news of an upcoming campaign action on Vulture Funds courtesy of our friends in London - Jubilee Debt Campaign.

Most importantly take action by sending a letter to Gordon Brown and urging him to go the UN summit in June. This summit is much more representative than the G20 and is crucial in dealing with the impact of the financial crisis on the world's poor.

MPs Demand an end to Debt Vultures. 6th May 2009
A group of 12 MPs have proposed legislation in the UK
Parliament to stop vulture funds profiteering from poor country debt. Vulture funds are companies that buy
up poor country debt and then sue when the country cannot pay it back.
