A Joint Briefing on Debt and the Climate Crisis

September 28, 2021 By Jubilee Scotland Leave a Comment

This joint briefing explores the links between debt and the climate emergency and demonstrates the importance of addressing unsustainable debt in the global South for achieving climate justice.

Ahead of the UN climate conference (COP26) taking place in Glasgow later this year, Jubilee Scotland stands by Jubilee Debt Campaign (JDC) and allies; Afrodad, APMDD, CAFOD, Christian Aid, Global Justice Now, and Latindadd, in outlining the steps global decision-makers must take on debt if we are to address the climate crisis.

There is no climate justice without debt justice.
