2014 Matters: Justice in Foreign Policy, Immigration and Human Rights

January 28, 2014 @ 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm

  • 2014 Matters: Poverty, Power and Inequality in a Changing World »

In 2014 Scotland will vote on whether or not to become an independent country. What impact will this have on our foreign policy, immigration and global justice?

Chaired by the Sunday Herald’s Iain Macwhirter our discussion will look at how we can have a more just immigration system and foreign policy, and Scotland’s role in promoting human rights for all.

With John Finnie MSP, John Wilkes, Scottish Refugee Council and Dr. Kieran Oberman, University of Edinburgh.

This event forms part of the 2014 Matters programme exploring global justice and Scotland’s future in the context of the referendum.  Further events will be taking place across the country.  To submit your questions and find out more visit www.2014-matters.org.
