2014 Matters: Poverty, Power and Inequality in a Changing World
February 22, 2014 @ 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm
FreeA day of film and discussion to consider how Scotland could combat inequality and poverty globally in 2014 and beyond at the, with Alex Renton, The Guardian, Polly Jones, World Development Movement, and Anas Sarwar MP.
Scotland will soon vote on whether or not to become an independent country. What impact will this have on inequality and global justice?
We think its vital for civil society to take part in this exciting debate about Scotland’s future and want to see social and environmental justice moved to the centre of the discussion.
As part of the 2014 Matters series we’re taking a day of film and discussion at the Hannah McLure Centre, Dundee, to consider how Scotland can make the world a better place.
2pm Film presented by Take One Action Festival “A River Changes Course”
4pm Break with refreshments
4.30pm Discussion: Poverty, Power and Inequality in a Changing World Finishing at 6pm
