Annual General Meeting (& Money Puzzles film screening)
June 15 @ 5:45 pm - 8:45 pm
This year our Annual General Meeting will be taking place on the 15th of June at 5:45 in Augustine United Church. You’re all more than welcome to come along and have your say in the work of the organisation.
We also invite our member organisations to put forward a representative to stand for election to our Board of Directors. So, if you work with one of our members and would be keen to take a leading role, this could be you! If you’re interested in standing for the board then please send a short description about why you would be good on the board to firstname.lastname@example.org
Following the formal proceedings, at 7pm there will be a screening of the film ‘Money Puzzles’ and a Q&A with Director Michael Chanan and Tim Jones from the Jubilee Debt Campaign. This will be a free screening however, any donations are welcome. There will also be home baking and refreshments available throughout.
The documentary is a film about money & debt, austerity & solidarity and alternative economics.
The film screening will begin at 7 and you are welcome to attend just for this.
Formal Business at the AGM
Here are the draft minutes from last years AGM to be approved at this year’s AGM.
Proposed Governance Changes
As well as the standard business the current board are proposing some changes to the Articles of Association of Jubilee Scotland. Primarily these reduce the number of Directors needed on the Board and introduce some term limits but they also mean individuals (and not only representatives of member organisations) can stand for the board and it will change our Articles of Association to be gender neutral.
You can view all the proposed changes here.
The current Articles of Association to compare it against are here.
If you have any questions or wish to propose any amendments then please get in touch with email@example.com
