Rich Man’s World?
March 8, 2014 - March 9, 2014
Free
As the global crisis continues, austerity cuts deeper and Scotland debates its future, how do we fight for the world we want?
Join us for an inspiring weekend in Glasgow to discover the truth behind our economic systems, learn about exciting alternatives happening in Scotland and beyond, and begin to take action for a better world.
Programme:
On Saturday 8th we’ll be examining all things economics! Where does debt come from? Is austerity really the only option? And how can we achieve economic justice?
Suitable for everyone – whether you read the Financial Times every morning or find yourself drifting off at the mere mention of ‘quantitative easing’!
Sunday 9th is a chance to put some of this learning into action, with skills workshops and space for local groups to get planning. This day’s all about helping people campaign, so there’s opportunities for anyone to run a session or request some space for their group to use.
A full agenda will be available soon, along with booking information everything else you’ll need to know!
Basic ‘crash pad’ accommodation will be available, and we’ll also be happy to help you find somewhere else to stay if you would prefer. If travel costs would be a barrier to you attending we can offer travel bursaries so just let us know.
