Econo...what?

Econo...what?Talk of 'the economy' is everywhere, but what does this actually mean? Despite the impacts of the economic system on our lives, when it comes to arguing about what kind of economy we want, many people who are committed to social and economic justice feel intimidated or confused by complex economic language and shrouded decision making.

Starting or joining an economic justice reading group is a great way to get to grips with all things economic, and meet new people in the process! All of the readings are provided, and accompanied by a blog post or podcast by people working for economic justice, so it's really easy to get started.

If you're in Edinburgh or Glasgow, check out details of the groups below, or contact Alys if you'd be interested in getting a group started in your area.

Edinburgh

The Edinburgh group is having its first meeting on 7th May at 7pm in room 8.13 in David Hume Tower in the University of Edinburgh.

Readings to be discussed are under 'Part One' here, but we'll be watching the shorter film together in that meeting so there's no need to watch that in advance.

Join the facebook group, sign up to the email list or follow them on twitter to stay up to date with what's happening.

Glasgow

The Glasgow Group meets at the Glasgow Film Theatre and will be discussing Part Three at their next meeting. Contact Claire for more information.
