You are warmly invited to attend Scotland: A Nation of Global Debt Justice, organised by Jubilee Scotland and sponsored by Jean Urquhart MSP. This event will be held on Wednesday 12th November from 6-8pm in Committee Room 2 (the Fairfax-Somerville Room) of the Scottish Parliament.

Scotland has a proud history of fighting for debt cancellation, but more action is needed to ensure economic justice for the world’s most vulnerable countries. Jubilee Scotland, with sovereign debt expert Dr Mariama Williams, will be discussing the need for global debt justice, and how Scotland can play its part.

This is an opportunity to hear from Dr Williams, a leading feminist economist and expert in a range of development issues, on the new debt crises threatening the Global South. There will also be a chance to discuss with Jubilee Scotland staff how Scotland, post-referendum, can have a strong and distinct voice on issues of global debt justice including vulture funds, export policy and debt arbitration.

To reserve your space, please RSVP as soon as possible!
